  • Naming controllers
  • Setting up rooms
  • Adding or removing controllers and switches
  • Assigning switches to controllers

  2. In the top right corner, tap the three-dot menu and select Settings.
  3. Under Controller, tap the pencil icon.
  4. An Edit Device Details window will appear—enter the new name for your controller.
  5. Click save to confirm the changes to the new name

Rooms may include:

  • All the lights in a room (e.g. a kitchen or living room)
  • All the light in an area (e.g. outdoor lights)
  • All the lights in the entire home

To create a Room in the Levven Controls App:

  5. Once you have selected all the devices, tap Assign to complete the Room setup.

Adding or Removing Controllers and Switches

The Levven Controls App allows you to easily add new controllers and switches to your home's group without needing access to another controller or the blue wall plate (if one is available in your Levven home).

  2. On the Settings page, tap on the System Configuration option.
  3. On the System Configuration page, tap on the "+" button to reveal more options.
  4. Select Add a Device and follow the on-screen prompts.

Assigning Switches to Controllers

Reassigning switches with the Levven Controls App allows you to move a switch from its assigned controller and assign it to a different one.

💡

Switches can be paired to as many controllers as you'd like; however, controllers can only have up to 10 switches assigned.

To remove a switch from a controller

  1. In the Levven Controls App, select the device you want to modify.
  2. Scroll down to the Switches section in the device page and tap on the pencil icon corresponding to it.
  3. Find the switch you want to un-assign. Press the wall switch to quick filter the list.
  4. Unselect the switch from the list.
  5. Select the Assign button to confirm the changes.
⚠️

A controller must be paired to at least one switch. This prevents empty switches in your home.

If your home has dimmers, here are some features you can access within the app.

Setting Min/Max levels

  1. Select the Switch you want to adjust.
  2. In the top right corner, tap the three-dot menu, then select Settings.
  3. Under Advanced Properties, locate Brightness Range and tap the pencil icon
  4. Adjust the default brightness as needed.
  5. Save your changes to apply the new setting.

Automations

The Levven Controls app connects to all the Levven switches and controllers in the home via the Levven Q Gateway. The Q Gateway enables you to create, edit, and delete automations. Automations allow you to set timers and routines on your lights to save energy and improve safety and security.

There are two types of automation triggers within the Levven Controls app - Timer and Time of Day. Triggers tells your Levven system when the routine or automation should happen.

Timer - set a countdown for when you want the automation to occur. Timer automations are great for spaces like a pantry or closet.

Example:

  • You want a light to turn off 10 mins after it was triggered by the switch to turn on

Time of Day - set the automation to be triggered by a specific time or based off sunrise or sunset.

Example:

  • You want your living rooms lights to turn on every Friday and Saturday, 10 minutes before sunset.
  • You want your kitchen lights to turn off Monday through Friday at 10:45 pm.

  4. Select one or more switches to assign.

App is not Connected to Levven Q

Check the following:

  • Ethernet cable is securely connected to the gateway’s network port and your internet modem.
  • Your internet modem is powered on.
  • Your mobile device is connected to your home Wi-Fi network.

If your mobile device cannot detect the Q Gateway, try a different LAN port on your modem as some internet providers disable certain ports.

  • The gateway requires a wired connection to your local network. For best results, connect it directly to a LAN port on your modem. Avoid using a secondary switch or mesh node, as this may affect connectivity.

Cannot see the Gateway Outside of the Home

To access your Q Gateway remotely, enable the cloud connection while connected to your local Wi-Fi:

  1. Tap More in the bottom menu.
  2. Go to Settings > System Configuration.
  3. Select your Q Gateway.
  4.  Under the Info tab, toggle Cloud Connection Status.

To confirm:

  1. Close the Levven Controls app.
  2. Turn off Wi-Fi and switch to cellular data.
  3. Reopen the app.

Removing the Q Gateway from your Levven App

There are two ways to remove your gateway from the app:

Option 1:

  1. Select More.
  2. Tap the three-dot menu in the top right corner.
  3. Select Remove System.
