Quick Kit Overview
To save time during installation, Levven offers four sizes of pre-configured Quick Kits to meet installation requirements. These kits include the switches, wall plates, controllers, and Levven Q Gateway. The controllers and switches come pre-grouped and paired. The paired devices are housed together in one compartment in the packaging.
Switch cover plates are sold separately.
Inside of a Levven Quick Kit
Levven Quick Kits include:
- Switches and Controllers paired together
- Single-pole (one switch, one controller)
- 3-way (two switches, one controller)
- 4-way (three switches, one controller)
- Installation Reference Booklet
- Blue Wall Plate
- Wire Nuts
- Drywall Screws for Switches
- Mounting Bracket for Levven Q Gateway and Security Screw, Post, and Screw Cap
- Levven Q Gateway, Power Supply, and Ethernet Cable
Grouping Extra Controllers
All controllers in this kit are pre-grouped. If the installation requires more controllers than the kit includes, the contractor must: (a) purchase additional controllers, (b) energize them, and (c) perform the grouping operation to add them to the existing group. Grouping is critical; ungrouped controllers can be triggered by switches in neighbouring homes. This label needs to convey: buy extras if needed, then group them before use.

Pairing Extra Switches
Any switch added beyond what's included in the kit must be paired to at least one controller. An unpaired switch is unable to switch a light on or off without a controller. For more information on pairing a switch to a controller, please review this page:

Dual-Output Controller Locations
The kits include dual-output controllers. The controllers can switch two independent loads, with no special preplanning or wiring, in these scenarios:
- Exhaust Fan + Ceiling Light (e.g. Bathroom, Utility Room)
- Ceiling Fan Motor + Ceiling Fan Light
- Entry/Foyer Light + Porch Light
- Dining Room/Great Room + Back Patio Light
Blue Pairing Plate
One controller is designated for in-wall installation. It is mounted in a standard single-gang device box and covered by Levven's blue pairing plate. The pairing button and LED are accessible through openings in the plate.

Reset Leftover Controllers
If the kit includes more controllers than the installation needed, any unused controllers must be factory reset before use in another job. Grouped controllers in different homes will cause issues for the future homeowner.
